Een nieuwe tentoonstelling in onze galerij in de betonnen zuilenzaal op +1. Dit keer exposeren we opkomend talent, Antwerp – based kunstenaar Ruben Boeren.

Het eveneens Antwerp-based duo MONOMONO zorgt voor adembenemende sounds.

Ruben Boeren is a young up-and-coming Belgian visual artist who lives and works in Antwerp. Born 1988, he studied painting (MFA) at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, followed by a postgraduate degree in artistic research (MANAMA) at Sint-Lucas, Both in Antwerp, (BE). 
With a background in classical painting and at the same time an interest in the multimedia, with large canvases that burst with colour, in abstract sweeps that also include figurative elements, he seems to be engaged in a peaceful battle with his own work.

MONOMONO combines live electro-acoustic instruments and electronics with rave elements. By creating experimental sound concoctions, a collective dystopian trip emerges.

For the performance in imaginair, MONOMONO will integrate the acoustics of the old factory hall and will interact with the work of Ruben Boeren.
